Distance selling via the internet is a distance contract within the meaning of art. 50 and ss. Of Legislative Decree 6 September 2005, no. 206 ("Consumption Code"). The Contract deals with the sale of movable property between Virginia's Cottage (Individual Company "Donatella Dall'Omo", registered office in Via Breda, 17 - 25040 Nadro di Ceto (BS) - VAT ID: 03842820981 - Tax Code: DLLDTL76P61A944M) and the consumer. The Contract is concluded directly through the acceptance by Virginia's Cottage of a proposed purchase by the Customer by telephone or via the Internet. In the case of pre-paid orders, we consider the order valid only from the receipt of the payment.

The sales prices of the products or services shown on the site include I.V.A. and any other tax.
Delivery charges are paid by the customer (unless published promotions) and their amount is indicated on the website.

Delivery of products - complaints

Please read with attenction: if the items are in stock, they are shipped within 48 hours from receipt of the payment. Being our online store, it is impossible for us to have all items ready for delivery. Custom items are available from our suppliers (in Italy and abroad), and are shipped within 7-10 business days. We always try to be faster using express couriers. Some items are crafted and made for each order. Others may temporarily be out of stock. In this case the delivery must be considered within 30 days, unless the suppliers inform us that they are no longer in production. We will be kind enough to warn you if unforeseen events occur after this period. In conclusion, note that some orders can be delivered within 30 days. Please note that some products are of high quality and are specially made or ordered for you. It will be worth the wait. However, we are still available to let you know the estimated delivery time if you have an urgent need to receive an item within a certain date. Just tell us the code to know the specific timing.

About the craft products items, they may vary slightly in color and color size. Please consider that this depends on their very nature. The images that we have published are photographs, which often may not be 100% true for the colors: they depend on the type of light with which they were made.

Responsibility for shipping

The package will be packaged by us or by one of our suppliers, and shipped to the address left in the order. We therefore ask you to leave a full address (civic number, postal code, telephone number) where there is usually someone present to collect the goods. The parcel can also be shipped to a different address than yours (such as your workplace or friends). If the parcel can not be delivered and it will return to us, you will have to pay for a new shipment.
Since the goods are gived to the courier, he is responsible for the delivery. You will receive a mail from us about the departure with the tracking code. It will be your duty to monitoring the shipment. When your goods arrives, you have to verify:
- the number of packages delivered corresponds to what is stated in the shipping document
- the packaging is intact, not damaged, neither wet nor otherwise altered
Any problems should be immediately disputed, by providing to write a control reserve on the courier delivery document. Once the courier's document has been signed, the customer will not be able to challenge any of the external features of the delivery.
Virginia's Cottage accepts Customer's orders within the limits of the quantity of required products in our warehouse or at our vendor's warehouses, in the case of custom items. The standard procedure where the availability of the goods of an order is partial is to dispatch the available items and to repay the missing ones. In case the items you purchase are urgently needed, we suggest to contact us to verify their availability: we are at your disposal.
In case of refund of money spent for pre-paid items (or in case of cancellation of the order), this will be done within 30 days since the communication from Virginia's Cottage (usually money transfer or Paypal).

Shipment Insurance

There is also an insured shipment available for a higher security on shipment, with an extra charge. We are not responsible for complaints about the integrity of the items arrived if the chosen shipment is not insured. In fact, the items leave intact from us, and if they get damaged it happened during transport.

Obligations of the client

The Customer declares and warrants: (1) to be at least 18 years old; (2) that the data gived to us for the performance of the Contract is correct and true.

After Sales Assistance


All products purchased are the manufacturer's or importer's warranty and assistance as provided for by current legislation (currently 12 months, extended to 24 for natural persons).


Satisfied or reimbursed

The "Satisfied or Reimbursed Guarantee" guarantee to our customers the "Right of withdrawal" or, more broadly, the "right of rethinking" regulated by the Italian standard (which transposes the European standard) which offers great consumer protection. The will of Virginia's Cottage is to ensure its customers complete satisfaction. If for some reason you are not satisfied with what you bought in our store, you can exercise your right of withdrawal, which for Internet sales is governed by D.Lgs n. 206/05 (Articles 50 to 68). Such legislation provides for the right of withdrawal, ie the possibility for the consumer to return the purchased product and to obtain the reimbursement of the cost of the item. This right is reserved exclusively to natural persons (consumers), so it can not be exercised by legal persons and natural persons acting for purposes related to professional activity. The only costs required by the buyer are those for returning the product. The only expenses that can not be reimbursed are those of the shipment of the product, as it is a service already availed.

We do not have the right to withdraw used, incomplete, defective or non-complete products (for reasons other than transport from our company to you). They do not have the right of withdrawal even special products made to arrive specifically for the customer (eg large quantities of the same item) or products without a tax receipt (unable to identify the origin).



If, after purchase, you wish to withdraw from the purchase, you must follow these steps:

Within 14 days of receipt of the product, must send a communication via email. A Virginia's Cottage operator will contact you for the logistics organization.

After the parcel has arrived, Virginia's Cottage will refund the amount of products returned within 30 days, after verifying the integrity of the goods (withholding only the amount of shipping costs, if arranged by us)

NB: We suggest that you take the utmost care in packing the item you want to make, as if it came to us broke, we could not repay it, but you should contact your shipper. In this case, an insured expedition may be useful.

Broken articles

We sell many fragile items in our store. That's why we put the best care in the packaging. Despite this, we are not bringing the parcel to the destination, and often couriers do not have the same care we have for parcels. For this reason, we suggest an insured expedition. In this case, if broken objects will arrive, we will be able to send it back to you as we will be refunded by the courier. Conversely, if there is no insurance, (has a very low cost), we can neither refund nor resend a replacement object.
In case your shipment has been secured and your item has been broken, we ask you to send us within 1-2 days an email notification containing the photographs of the broken objects and the shipment details, so that we can initiate the refund policy at the express courier.
